Context: I worked with executive and director level staff from NYC's Department of Homeless Services (DHS) . My stakeholder workgroup consisted of stakeholders from DHS' Dept of Budget & Finance, Program Analysts, Policies & Procedures and more to develop this training.

Revenue Administration Course: Property Taxes Module

Client: Beth Horacek, Carl Vinson Institute of Government at UGA

Context: Beth’s largest complaint about the Revenue Administration course that she taught at the CVIOG was that it was basically “death by PowerPoint”. I developed a customized interactive training course based on evidence-based practices such as the multimedia, modality and segmenting principles.

Customer Service and FERPA Training

Client: Jennifer Benson, VP of Student Affairs

Context: The Student Affairs department had no customer service and Family Educational Right and Privacy Act (FERPA) training for their student employees. They hoped that with the work study training, student employees will be more readily prepared to serve customers while keeping specific information confidential.

CAREER EXPLORATIONS: COURSE EVALUATION

EDIT 7350E eLearning Evaluation and Assessment Final Project

Client: Village Virtual LLC

Context: The client allowed our evaluation team to assess their Career Explorations online learning course. The course had been implemented for a year. The purpose of this evaluation was to determine the extent to which the course is meeting the goals that Village Virtual had outlined for the program. Village Virtual will use the results of the evaluation to revise the course to better meet the goals they have outlined for the program, to improve their service to schools and teachers who want to implement the program, and to become successful in preparing students for their socio-emotional and academic futures.

Evaluation Tools: Survey Questionnaire, Two-Group test scores, Online Course Review 

The evaluation team for this program was comprised of three instructional design professionals; Ebony Extra nee Roberts, Toni Rose Deanon, and Heather Boyd.

EDUCATIONAL VIDEO PRODUCTION - SIMPLE ACTION REDUX

Summer 2018

I developed this short clip in my Educational Video Production class to exemplify my application of key concepts on visual continuity, effective lighting and audio and effective video production. Videos clips were recorded on my iPhone 8. The video was edited using Camtasia 9. Audio is from youtube's royalty free audio selection.

Here is an instructional video I produced for a group project. This video was to be uploaded to the company's LMS so that volunteers may access it. I used the screen-cast feature from Camtasia 9 to record the visuals and audio for this project.

Summer 2018

Another assignment from the Educational Video Production course was to display our production skills by developing a short Public Service Announcement (PSA) video. I produced a commercial that implicitly warned of the danger of using the cell phone while driving. Video clips were recorded wiht iPhone 8. Video edited using Camtasia 9. Audio clips provided by youtube's royalty free library.
